I live and paint in Pearland, TX with my dog Bella. I find art a challenge, which I will never tire of. For me, painting means that you are forever a student where the only constant is learning.
There is no subject matter that I like painting more than another. I think of still life, portraiture, or landscape fair game. Also, I find inspiration everywhere from the morning sunrise lighting up the tree tops to a child sleeping. Finding Inspiration is endless.
I started painting with oils, which I am comfortable with, but do stray into other mediums as well. I do not think that I have found a pencil, charcoal stick, or paint brush that I have not liked. The best thing about painting is that you can lose yourself in it. For me, it becomes just the canvas, brush, you and Pandora.
I’m not sure if Bob Ross ever said, “You need the dark in order to show the light.” But I find it fitting.
